"Balti have really done their homework.
We tried the Ugni Chardonnay which was quite unpleasant
to drink on it's own, but then I had a plate full of the
very spicy Lamb Karachi and immediately it was transformed.
I certainly wish I'd thought of the idea."
Andrew Fraser, Wine Writer, Metro Newspaper Group. "The
chilli rating is never something I thought about before,
but it's something I've been turned-on to. You need aromatic
white varieties because you have spice in the food and the
New World tends to make wines that are quite fruit driven
so they are low in tannin, they have a very upfront, fruity
style."
Sally Holloway, Wine Buyer, Booths Supermarkets
"It's very smooth and much better than the wine we bought
to be honest. Very tasty indeed."
On the spot restaurant taste test comment.
